I wish everyone would go away
Far away
Leaving me alone
Then I wouldn't always
Be in the spotlight
I wouldn't need to be
Perfect all the time,
Friends with everyone
But having no real allies
I wouldn't have to be
The best
Perfect
I Just wish everybody would leave
And not ask questions
Not tell me what to do
Never point out what's wrong (or obvious)
I really wish they would go
But that can't really happen
Can it?
So maybe,
Just maybe,
I'll go instead.

Once upon a time...
When the entire world was new
Your spirit searched for mine...
Mine was in love with you
Two souls without a home...
Just whispers in the air...
Two spirits of the night
With just one thought and care
NOW, once upon this time...
When eye-to-eye we meet...
We feel a gentle tug
So tender, and so sweet
For when your eyes meet mine
Our spirits recognize...
That sense of coming home...
The magic in our eyes!
When the entire world was new

Don't you see I want to be more than that?
I want more than just a 'hi' every time in a while.
I want more.
I want to know that your mine, and I'm yours.
I want to know that if I come to you, you'll be there for me,
that you'll listen to my problems, my hopes, my dreams.
I want to know that no matter what you'll never leave me, and that you'll love me.
I want to have your arms around me, and have you whispering sweet things in my ear.
I want to be able to laugh and cry, to share the good and the bad times.
I want to be able to call you and have you be there for me.
I want you to be closer than my best friend.

Standing in the rain
Cold and icy
I let the kisses of the sky soak me
Wash away my pain
The rain cleanses me
Makes me clean again
Each drop a kiss from the sky
A gift to the earth
Birth and renewal
Like a phoenix born of the flames
I am born again of the rain
The wind blows to calm me
Wiping away my tears
Blowing away my anger
Wind and Rain
Until I am happy again.
Cold and icy

Fallen rain drops
Like tears I shed
On my pillow
On my bed
Green leaves
So lovely to behold
Make me know
I must be bold
No more teardrops
Not for me
Only happiness
Do I see
No more weeping
That’s over now
No more sleeping
I’ll get along somehow
Touched the rain drops
On the flower
Touched the top
Remembered sad hours
Touched them to my eyes
Slowly rubbing them
Breaking all sad ties
